Activities
Center activities include the following types of initiatives:
- Develop and use conceptual and methodological frameworks for investigating parent and family support,
early intervention, early childhood education, and family-centered practices.
- Review and synthesize research findings with an emphasis on the implications for improving parent
and family support, early intervention, early childhood education, and family-centered practices.
- Identify and use research designs and data-analysis strategies for identifying the key characteristics
of effective child-, parent-, and family-level intervention practices.
- Identify barriers to the adoption of evidence-based practices and develop and implement solutions for
increasing use of practices informed by research findings.
- Translate research findings into principles and guidelines, practice guides, and methods and strategies
for promoting adoption of evidence-based parent and family support, early intervention, early childhood
education, and family-centered practices.
- Conduct training studies for evaluating the effectiveness of methods and strategies for promoting
use of evidence-based practices.
